To reach Krabi

By car

From Bangkok:
1. Proceed along Highway no. 4, via Phetchaburi, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Chumphon, Ranong and Phang-Nga provinces. Distance covered – 950 kms.
2. Proceed along Highway no.4 and at Chumphon province take Highway no.41 to Amphoe Wiang Sa, via Amphoe Lang Suan in Surat Thani Province. Then take Highway no.4035 to Amphoe Ao Luek and further Highway no.4 to reach Krabi. This is a shorter route covering 814 kms.

From Phuket
Proceed along Highway 402 and 4 via Takua Thung and Thap Pud Districts in Phang-Nga province. This route enters Krabi province at Au Luek District. The total distance covered is 185 kms. and time taken is 4 hrs.

By Bus

From Bangkok
Regular bus services run daily from Bangkok to Krabi from 6.30 am to 8.00 pm. In Bangkok, it leaves from the Southern Bus Terminal at Borommaratcha Chonnani Road. Ordinary to air-conditioned and VIP buses ply this route. Time taken for the journey is 12 hours. From Bangkok

There are two trains running daily from Bangkok to Trang. The express train departs from Bangkok at 5.05 pm and reaches Trang at 9.40 am. The rapid train leaves Bangkok at 6.20 pm and reaches Trang at 12.20 pm.

From Bangkok to Nakhon Si Thammarat, there are two trains running daily. The rapid train departs from Bangkok at 5.35 pm and reaches Nakhon Si Thammarat at 10.45 am. The express train leaves Bangkok at 7.15 pm and reaches Nakhon Si Thammarat at 12.00 pm.

By Bus

Regular bus services run to various districts and tourists spots from Krabi Bus Terminal between 6.00 am and 5.00 pm. The ticket rate is 10 baht for a destination within the town limits. To go further, take the local white buses from Maharat Road for 20 baht. Mini buses also operate service from Vogue Department Store on Maharat Road.

By Songthaews, tuk tuk and motorcycle taxi

Songthaews run regular service from 7-11 on Maharat Road to destinations like Ao Leuk (20 baht), Ao Nam Mao (40 baht), Ao Nang (20 baht), Hat Noppharat Thara (20 baht) and Su San Hoi (40 baht). A ride to the Government Bus Terminal will cost 8 baht by Songthaew or tuk tuk, while it will cost 30 baht in a motorcycle taxi.

Tuk tuk can be hired for flat rate to destinations like Bus Station (50 baht), Airport (200 baht) and Wat Tham Seua (100 baht). Songthaews also run frequent service to Ban Hua Hin (Ferry pier to Ko Lanta), located at the Phattana - Preuksa Uthit Road intersection. The time taken is 40 minutes and costs 40 baht.
